Question
Dear Joe,

I find myself watching coins shows on T.V. and I can't determine if they generally sell their products at a fair price. I understand that some of their items are not that collectable.. but in general do you think they sell at a fair price or are these people just saleman and con men? Give me your opinion please.. Thank you advance!

Answer
Hello Norris,

Let's just say that they aren't the cheapest way to buy coins.  TV Airtime cost money, big money and someone pays for that.

I have seen the shows a few times and I am amazed at the prices they ask and get from unsuspecting consumers.  I look at it as a "dog & pony" show.  They rely on impulse buyers.

Stick to the internet or find a dealer you can work with on a regular basis.
