Question
To start with I have 2-silver half dollar coins dated 1945 and 1936 and 2- dated 1951 and 1950. Next I have 3-silver quarters dated 1961 and 2-1964. The dimes I have are also silver and dated 1946,1952,1954,1956,1960,1961 and 1964. Also I 4-Silver Certificates dated Series 1935 F and Series 1957. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and any comments.

Answer
Hi LaDana,

Assuming your items are in circulated condition, then the coins will only be worth the silver they contain :

Half dollars -- $4.00 each

Quarters -- $2.00 each

Dimes -- 80 cents each

The Silver Certificates are worth $2.00 each.

I hope this helps,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
