Question
i have a non double sided stamped. an i am looking for the ball park value of this coin.  this coin is not stamped on either side.  it is a nickel.

Answer
Hello Bill,

If you are talking about an un-stamped or blank planchet these coin blanks come in two types.
The first is as it is punched right from the strip of metal and the second is the blank with an upset edge. The edge is rolled square to the face of the coin blank prior to stamping the design elements on both sides.
This is a very common error. These sell from 1 to four dollars if authentic at coin shows.
