Question
a friend of mine told me there was an error in the tennessee coin. but he didn't know what it was, can you tell me if this is true and if it is what is that error

Answer
Hello John,

The only thing I can remember, is about the design accuracy.

I saw an article that the guitar and trumpet have errors. But it is really artistic license. The Medalic Sculptor can work the designs for their presentation on the coin.
The six-string guitar appears to have only five strings, especially on poorly struck specimens of the coin.
The head of the guitar shows six tuning pegs. Following the strings from each tuning peg, down the fretboard (or neck of the guitar), over the soundhole and finally to the bridge of the guitar body, it appears the center two strings converge at the top of the fretboard.

It seems that also a mistake on another musical instrument depicted not only on the Tennessee quarter dollar but on the Louisiana coin. The bell and leadpipe of the trumpet on the Louisiana quarter dollar are on the same side of the instrument's valves.
