I have a connecticut quarter that is misprinted.the stamp is off by about 1/8". the words are cut in half. Is there any worth to it?
thanks, tina
Answer -
Hi Tina,

It sounds like it is an off center error coin.  They do have value as an error coin and it all depends upon the condition of the coin.  The State quarter errors are worth more then some coins since the quarter program is very popular.  It could be worth anywhere from $20 to several hundred dollars depending upon the coins condition.

Hi Cameron,
Thanks for the quick response. Could you tell me how to go about having it checked? I have no clue about this kind of stuff. Thanks again, Tina

Answer
The best thing to do is to take it to a local coin dealer and they can see it in person.  Most larger size towns have coin dealers and they can be found by looking in the local phone book under "coin dealer."  If your town doesn't have it another larger one near you might.  Take the coin in and just ask their opinion of it in regards to grade and authenticity.  They will give you a free apprasial since it is just one coin.
