Question
I came across a copper dime, 1995 D, it is extremely thick and is not cantered on the coin correctly. if you can tell me anything about this please do.

Answer
Hello Ian,
There are 2 issues here, the off center strike and the thickness.
Off Center strike are valued by the degree that the coin is struck off center.  The best scenario is approx 60% off-center but with the date still visible.  As for the thickness, there are a couple of possibilities;  #1 is that the coin was struck on the wrong blank planchet whether it be a US planchet or a foreign planchet.  Another possibility is that the coin was struck either outside the collar or what is known as broadstruck.
What I suggest is that you go on ebay and look for a similar coin to see what the bidding public would pay for your error.
Good Luck
