Question
i recently found a dime, normal in every way, except that only the face appears on the "heads" side.
other than the face, this side of the coin is completely smooth.
is this a common coin?

thank you for your time

Answer
Based on the description I dont know what it could be.  This coin would need to be seen in person to let you know what it is.  I suggest you look in your local phone book for a coin dealer near you.  Sorry I cant be of much more help.
