i have a one troy ounce silver coin.it has a buffalo on one side and an indian head on the other.can you tell me where it was minted and when? also what is it worth?

Hello, Patrick, I haven't heard of this particular piece, but it sounds like a silver round -- something made just to be silver.  You may want to go to www.ebay.com and www.google.com and do searches to see if something like what you have comes up.  If your piece is silver, it would be worth the price of silver.  I'm not sure what the price of silver is these days, but if you go to www.usatoday.com and go to money and then look for commodity prices, it should be listed.  If you want to sell, a local coin dealer would likely be your best choice, or a local coin show, and the dealer could tell you more about the piece after seeing it.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
