What coins or sets would be a prudent investment as they are currently undervalued.

Hi Bruce,
There are a number of variables that must be considered.  There is no point telling you about a $25,000 coin if your budget is $10,000.
One of the services my company offers is the design of a balanced, fully researched, portfolio.  This is a free service that we offer, any portfolio can be tailored to your goals.  Let's say you want a combination of bullion and rare coins, or just rare coins, or just bullion, we can do that.
What I suggest is that you arrive at a starting amount that we can work with.  I don't want to tell you to collect a particular series that you will never be able to affordably complete; you will just get frustated or go broke.
If you don't want to go that route, this is what I suggest.  Stay away from modern coins, there are just too many out there in high grade.  Stick with coins that are pre 1950, preferrably, pre 1900.  Buy PCGS and NGC certified coins unless you personally know how to grade coins or you are working with a dealer you can truly trust.
You will never get hurt buying the key coins in each series provided they are accurately graded and fairly priced.
