Coin and Paper Money Collecting/An unusual copper coin

Question
Hi Cameron.  I have a coin that I stumbled across in some loose change one day.  It looks like a penny in make and size, but is very unlike any penny I've ever seen.  The front says 'Uncirculated Denver' on it. It also has a large letter 'D'. On the back side  there is some kind of a crest and the words 'Treasury United States Mint'.  Nowhere on the coin is there a date.  I saw your profile said you knew copper coins so I was just seeing if you could tell me anything about this one.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Kyle,

What that is, is the token that is included with the U.S. Mint sets.  The Denver Mint one has the D and the Philadelphia Mint has the P.  They usualy are included in the sets when there is no dollar coin.  They are not valuable and dealers usualy just throw them away when they cut open the sets.  I hope this helps.
