Coin and Paper Money Collecting/value of 1899 liberty double eagle

Question
I was given an 1899 gold Liberty $20 coin as a gift.  I have compared it with pictures of coins available at the US mint web-site and it looks the same and appears to be in about the same condition as those there except there is no mint mark above the "twenty dollars" on the back.  What is the value range of such a coin?  Does the lack of a mint mark increase or decrease the coin's value?

Answer
The MM is this case makes no difference. While I can appreciate that you have an opinion on the coins grade, I have never seen a $20 gold peice in that fine a condition and I have been a professional coin dealer for 40 years. With that said, your coin is probably worth $600 to $3000. On the other hand, if you are correct, about $50,000, but don't bet on it. Good luck.
