Can you send me a picture of the machine?  The Happy Jap was manufactured in the early 1900's.  A similar machine called the Smilin Sam was made in the 1930's.  Both machines are peanut vendors in the shape of a head.  A picture would show me exactly what you have as well as the condition.  Then I can give you all the details.  My email address is:
