Question
I like to collect old items and have aquired an older gumball machine.  Everything is intact and it probably works. It is gray in color.  I am missing the lock at the top and can only see a hole and the end of the threads of the screw shaft sticking up in the bottem of the hole.  I do not know how it opens and where I can aquire a lock and key.  Can you tell me how it works?

Answer
The best source for gumball/peanut machine locks is:

http://www.crowriver.com/

Click on the Gumball and Peanut Machine Parts tab.  If you need help selecting the right lock just email Roger.  His email address is at the bottom of the page.  Feel free to email me at buck@nvc.net if you have any other questions.

Good Luck,
Chad
