Question
I have five antique penny operated machines from a patebted 9-11-23 advance gumball machine to a a penny operated carousel. Some of the machines have cracked glass. How do I find out the value and to whom to sell to, if I choose to.

Answer
Hi Howard,  The Advance coin mechanism was used in products from a wide variety of companies, so based on what information you've given me I can't tell you much.  The patent date can be misleading as their coin mech was used for many years with that patent date so things may not be as old as they appear.  If you want to send me some photos, I may be able to help you further.  coinoplibrary@comcast.net  Sincerely, Larry www.coinoplibrary.com
