Question about 16 years ago my husband bought me a large life size lion statue. it is painted like a carousel animal with glass looking eyes - but doesn't have a pole through it - has holes in feet. It is not wood - maybe resin type material. It is very long but two adults can pick it up. He paid about 500.ooo for it at an antique store. Any idea how to track down its worth? thanks - amy
Answer Considering this is a molded item and not a carved piece of art, I'd say that the item is probably worth near what you paid for it. These are not real valuable because they're just machine made replicas. If the item was actually used on a carousel, it's made of fiberglass. They're fairly expensive when purchased new from the factory, but after they've been "retired" they rarely command a high price.
