Collectibles-General (Antiques)/folk art/tramp art lamp value

Question
Hi. I purchased this lamp on eBay and I was wondering if you could approximate a value to it. It is unsigned. The seller indicated that the wiring when she bought it looked to be from the 30s or 40s and it has since been rewired. The lamp works. There is a brass toggle switch on the back of the hearth portion. The chimney and hearth are made of stones mortared in an extremely coarse, sandy concrete-type substance - possibly homemade - all sealed with a high gloss varnish. The mantel and base are made of sticks, which give it the tramp art look. I can't tell for sure what the tiny little logs are made of. They feel like wood but are also heavily varnished. The fireplace interior does not have a light.
The whole thing measures 14 1/4" wide x 18" high (no harp)x 8 1/2" deep. The shade probably is not original. The mantel is unattached and simply rests on the bottom portion, allowing access to the interior.
I have more photos if necessary. It's a truly beautiful piece. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for any help you can provide.
AnswerHi, with this type of lamp it really depends on the market in which you are selling it to determine the value since it is one of a kind. Some people would find this lamp invaluable and would be willing to spend $300 - $400 for it. Others may laugh and maybe pay $20 just for the novelty. I would say at an average antique auction it would sell for around $100. This is one of those items that can be a hit or miss, depending on who is bidding.
It is very unique and definitely hand-made.
Thanks
