Question

hydrangia lamp
I love odd lamps and picked this one up some time ago for what i thought was a good price. it appears to be sculpted to be a hydrangea. it has a light in each of the 6 globes. the person i purchased it from said his mother bought it at an antique shop in Italy about 30 years ago. any info would be appreciated

Answer
Hi. I had a similar lamp a few years ago. Mine also had 3 small round flat platforms attached with onyx inserts. Mine was originally from Mexico because it was stamped under the onyx pieces. It was from the late 60s. If it wasn't so bulky I would have kept it. To compare value, I paid $80 for it at an auction (everybody was laughing) about 15 years ago. I ended up selling it about 3 years ago for $300. You rarely see these anymore. In fact yours is only the third one I have ever seen. Thanks
