Question

Bally Banner
Sorry, I forgot to attach pics to the first e-mail.

Answer
OK Dennis,

Found your photo here on another question. I see you have a Bally wood rail or one ball game. Is it a payout game or does wins go to counters? Looks like a Lexington or Gold Cup, or one of the other horse race themed games of the time, but only with a none horse theme. Layout is the same except the horse race theme is gone. I would guess it's age to be around 1948 and maybe made for an area were horse racing games were not accepted, so game was made with different glass, just not sure yet. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find something. Thanks for adding this photo, this really helps to narrow it down. I have one something like yours baried out in the garage called a Bally three-a-way or something like that. Haven't found anything on that one yet either.
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
