Question
I own a Singer Nu-Way stocking darner kit.  It is round - about the size of larger 50 cent piece and about 3/4" thick.  On front it has a beautiful background of green with a lovely photo of a Victorian hat. we found it in a wall of our older home during renovation. Do you have any information?  I have had no success.  thank you.

Answer
Hello Ruth.

A Singer Stocking Darner is pictured on page 103 and detailed in "Darn It!  The HIstory and Romance of Darners" by Wayne Muller.  Perhaps you can view a copy through your local library.  According to the entry in the book, the darner was in use in 1923.  Without a picture, I can't know for sure this is the same as the item you have, but it was listed at $35.  Good luck with your search. Hope I've helped some.  Barbara
