Hi Susan,

Do you still have this tool(Button Hole Cutter), and could I get a photo of the other side of this tool?

Thanks

John

Very interesting. I found an identical pair at a garage sale here in Colorado September '09.

They are in great shape, and with a quick tune up of the cutting blade should make a lot more button holes!

I have one of these and wasn't sure what it was but I did a search on Google Patents "December 28, 1869 Chase" and the original patent documents came up complete with drawings.

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to Toy or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
