Question
I have came into handling a reproduction carousel horse and trying to find some more info on it. It is solid basswood, quite beautiful. The information I have is that it came from Germany in the 40's. Spent 40 years in a Beauty Shop, then more years in a private home. From top of mane to ground is 38". From tail to ear 47'. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
I don't think you got the correct information on this horse.   This is a machine carving done in Asia and could have been made as early as yesterday.  These are still being imported to this country.  Worth less than $100.00.
