Question

New Horse
I just obtained this coin operated horse. It works fine. I don't find any name or company on the horse. just the model National rejectors 06 06 218 coin operated box.the saddle is poor shape and the paint is rough. What is the approximate value as- is? Will repairing or replacing the saddle and paint help or hurt the value? Where can I get saddles and such replacement parts?
Thanks for your help

Answer
Hi Wilson,

The name you found is for the coin acceptor unit, not the horse. Value as is, might be only a hundred or two, as it is rough and missing a lot of parts. Here is a sight where you can see restored ones:  http://gameroomantiques.com/NelsonPlayfield.htm I would say that restoring this would only improve it's value, these are amusement rides and they need to work to be really neat and add value. I see good complete ones sell for 800.00 to 1,800.00 nice. As for parts, I am not sure if there is a supplier for these, but I would like to know also, so I will look around and get back to you if I find some resources for you. Also that link above might provide answers, but I think the prices there are on the top high side of things.
I hope this helps.
Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
