Question

jockey
HI:
Just picked up this old game, Jockey Club, I believe to be made by the company above.   Cannot find any info other than a mention on KLOV.  Can you help me with any info/value on this item?

Thanks in advance

Answer
Hi Jim, given some research time I got it!
Value $1000.00, Made by Exhibit Supply and called "CHUCK-A-LETTE" at first and made in 1936, consoles took three primary forms: race running, reel spinning and electrical flashing, the latter often a lighted spinner under a top glass. The Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago elected to spin reels, with electrical back lighting of features on the top. Dice symbols on the reels at left. The 1936 model was crude; 1937 well finished with a new top on the same machine for a horse race reel version called, you guessed it, "JOCKEY CLUB!"
Thanks for waiting, good things take time. Want an attachment with this information on it?, write me at jackpot7@ix.netcom.com and say Jockey Club.
Sincerely

Hi Jim,

I seen this on ebay and was wondering about it myself. I was thinking that maybe it was remade from something else but again there were a few small different manufacturer of machines like this. Did you see this one;

I almost thought it was the same game but again by another unknown manufacture Pacific. I'll keep looking for information but my first attempted got me nothing. Do you think the year 1933 is Right? It looks like 40's to me. As for value, it doesn't seem to matter who made these consoles, they all have a hard time bringing in more then 4 or 5 hundred dollars. Why is a mystery to me because they are great fun to play. I'll let you know if I find anything on it. Do you need to find a glass for it? Bob Nelson in Wichita Kansas had tons of parts for old consols and manuals, parts, glass, and reproduction glass, but I think he might sold it all to someone.
Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
