Question
I just saw a Peerless penny gumball machine with a black mans face and a baseball on the lower front section. You  get your penny back if you make it land in 1 of 2 slots at the bottom. It has a moveable shute to aim the penny. Do have any info? Thanks

Answer
Hi Richard,

I had to do some looking for this one, without a photo all I have to go on is your description, But, I think I got it. I'll give you the description and you can see if this is the right one.
PEERLESS PRODUCTS CO.
After the customer places the penny in the machine he maneuvers the penny chute with the control rod. Then he pushes the lever with the right hand, releasing the Penney to drop through. If you hit the return trough you get your penny back. At the very least, you always got a gumball. Bluebird Products Co. Made about 1926 and 20 1/2" high.

If this sounds like the correct machine, it's value is $750.00 in 1995.

Well Richard, I hope we got it right, sorry for the delay but this took some looking!

Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
