AboutIrene Schwall Expertise I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2.
Please note:
I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing -- I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
Experience My expertise is in ANTIQUE sewing or needlework tools & thimbles, gold, silver, brass, ivory, bone etc. Modern thimbles are not necessarily my strong point but I may be able to help so don't hesitate to ask. I am also very well versed in the identification of Hallmarks on sewing collectibles.

Question This sewing machine belonged to my mother. It is in a wood cabinet and folds up. The only info I can find on the machine itself is as follows: Royal Super Deluxe Precision Built, Turquoise in color, Edison Motor Model 21, Made in Japan, H64/78376. All working parts appear to be metal except belt on the turn wheel. Any info or referral for info would be helpful.
Answer Hello Judy,
I have information about the Royal Sewing Machine Co. but only for toy sewing machines.
I fear that your sewing machine is of the domestic, household type and if so, I cannot help you I'm afraid. I am not an expert in domestic household sewing machines.
But ... if you look back through past Q & A's you will find numerous links to websites that may be of interest to you.
Please do not hesitate to contact me again if your machine is of the toy variety and I will be happy to send you what I have on the Royal Sewing Machine Co.
Regards,
Irene
