Question

chair
I purchased a set of these chairs and I want to fix them up.  I have looked in all kinds of books to try to determine what they are, but I can't find them.  Do you  have any ideas?  I am not asking for a value, just what they are.  Any help you can give me would be great! Thanks.
Christine

Answer
Great chair!
They look to be a type of "bentwood" chair. Being a set, I would think they were made for a sunroom or covered porch. Many manufactures made this type of furniture so finding information may be a problem but keep looking. Also look for a painted over label or tag on the bottom. If you find a paper label that's painted over, you can use a rag a blot on some paint stripper very carefully and you might be lucky enough to remove enough paint to make it out.
Good luck with your set. I would like to see a picture when your finished.
 Thanks for your question,
