Question
Dear Chad,
At auction recently, I purchased a mint condition 1977 Seeburg Jukebox.  The problem was it did not have a key, which I did send for and received, but it would not fit into the lock-looked like someone tried to jam something into it.  While I went into the house to research options, my father-in-law drilled out the lock, thinking it would open.  It did not and now I cannot get the top open.  Any idea's as to what my next step would be?

Thank you in advance for your time,

Rob

Answer
I have drilled out many locks.  You have to drill out the center and then use a tool such as a screwdriver to turn the lock to the unlocked position.  If the lock doesn't turn, a larger drill bit is needed--keep repeating the process until the lock opens.  I'm guessing the lock has not been drilled out enough.

Good Luck,
Chad
