Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Antique Lamp

Question
Hi Rex;
I have an antique lamp that was given to me as a gift about 25 years ago. The only history I have on this lamp is that the woman who gave it to me was an avid antique collector & she decorated her home with antiques. This lamp was on the wall in her living room. I packed it away in my basement and forgot about it (and now I can't even figure out how to put it together!).
I can't find any name on it. There are sets of symbols on 3 of the pieces. The 2 round brass pieces (each about 4 inches in diameter) which mount against the wall have these symbols underneath "GlM 537". The square brass piece (also about 4 inches) has these symbols "GlM 43L". The shade I believe is all brass. The mounting arm I believe is also brass (with a piece broken off). The black "box" attached to the arm is a heavy metal but I am unsure what it is; there are squares of brass which are attached to this box with screws.
I have looked all over the internet and cannot find anything like this. Would you know what it is etc... or direct me to a place where I can find out?
Thanks for your help in advance.
AnswerI haven't seen one quite like this but the way it is constructed looks like from the 1970s. It was a quality design back then and probably considered elaborate. I can't tell what that is on the chair that it is attached to. I would estimate it to be worth around $150.
