Question
QUESTION: Hi Irene,
I am not sure if what I have is considered a toy machine or not. Its a old childrens singer machine. It is fully functional. I have the built in table to go with it. I was wondering if you might know what exactly I have and possible value. Do you want pictures?
Thanks for any help you can give!
Allison

ANSWER: Hello Allison,
Thanks for your query.
Yes please - pictures are most helpful.  Also, please provide me with a detailed condition report on your machine and also any/all markings, decal info. etc. that might be on the machine.  You can attach photographs to the AllExpert format or send them to me at:

QUESTION: Hi Irene,

Here is all the information from the machine:
Singer Little Touch & Sew, made in USA
Model 67A23

There is a plug in adaptor and it appears a slot on the bottom for the batteries. All the pieces are present and in place.
The table is in good condition. The lid has a burn mark on it and the overall color is faded.
Is there anything more you need? I did email the pictures.
Thanks, Allison

Answer
Hello Allison,
What you have is a working child's sewing machine - not a toy or miniature model.
Your machine is from the 1960's.  It appears from the photos (thank you) that it is in fairly good condition and it includes the original table.
I would estimate that your machine is in the $75 - $90 range.  If you check on the internet, you will see them for sale as low as $20 but this is without the table.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
