Question

Antique Lamp
Hi,  I have a yellow with gold lamp (I believe) with handles. It does have a whole at the top and bottome and also a smaller hole in back for probably the cord. It doesn't have any of the wiring or a shade. It has a picture on it with a man and a lady dancing in 1700 period clothing, I'm guessing. With another lady playing something like a guitar. The words on the painting are hard to read. Here again I'm guessing some of it. Fragonard, M. Langbrord. Amsterdam Holland. Thank you, Lisa

Answer
This type of lamp is known as "George and Martha lamp". They are fairly common and produced in the 1920s theough 1940s. This one has a unique shape and is in good condition. After it is rewired and working it would be worth about $75 tp $100.

Thanks
