Question
Hi Rodger,

I have been looking on the internet for someone like you for a while now, as I can never seem to find any information on Groetchen Tool and Manufacturing Company.

About 2 years ago I found a 1937 Columbia slot machine in a friends house. I rebuilt it for him, and the worst part was the fact that he wanted it back. So, I went and purchased my own. I have fallen in love with these machines.

I am requiring some parts for my machine. I need new reel tapes, the paysheet for the front, and also a rear door and lock. Do you know any information in regards to locating these parts?????

Regards
Jason.
PS- nice to meet you!
PPS- my machine is a 'gold award' non jackpot machine.

Answer
Hi Jason,

Hay, good to hear from you. Yes they are really neat slot machines, nice and small and they had a great idea. If you try to cheat one of these by playing slugs, well... when you win, you get them slugs of yours right back!, how very cool! I have had a couple of these over the years and sold them, then I found one in the greatest shape and complete in all the details, so you guessed it, I had to buy it and still have it. Jason, I have information on where to get the parts you need and it's in a attachable form, so, if you could write me at my email address I'll fix you right up OK? My email is jackpot7@ix.netcom.com
Thank You
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
