Question
"I may have just bought a a bunch of arcade diggers and I think  they might be against the law in Illinois?  Can you put these on a trailer and take them to a fair or carnival anymore?

What is the consensus on digger cranes for vending these days?

Thanks, Graham lasecrets@gmail.com"

Answer
Hi Graham,

Are these old, new, and what do they do? I couldn't tell you about laws in Illinois. If I were you, and to feel safe, I would go to a pay phone and call the gambling commission in you state and ask them. This is one of the things we taxpayers pay them to know about. If they are a gambling device's, and you want to move them across state lines, then you need to register yourself or business with, and receive a registration letter back each year, from the D.O.J. called a Department Of Justice Registration or D.O.J. Letter. This covers you with the Fed's but doesn't supersede the state laws you want to travel through. So, if you get caught with illegal gambling devices in a State were there are laws against that type of gambling devices you are carrying, you still Dead Meat with that State your in. But, maybe these are amusement games and not gambling devices Very Big Difference! Can you send a photo? Send to jackpot7@ix.netcom.com

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
