Question
"I may have just bought a a bunch of arcade diggers and I think  they might be against the law in Illinois?  Can you put these on a trailer and take them to a fair or carnival anymore?

What is the consensus on digger cranes for vending these days?

Thanks, Graham lasecrets@gmail.com"

Answer
Wow, That's a complicated question, Graham.  I'm sure there are some regions of the country where they are legal to operate in a carnival, although they shut them down in Minnesota recently.  Diggers have had a troubled history since they started in the 1920's.  Their association with gambling has been hard to shake.  I can't speak to Illinois, but there are places they can be operated.  Now, if they're old tell finished wood case coinop ones from the 1930's, people like me will buy them as collector items, but if they're the 1950's or newer type they don't have a low of value, typically $200-300 if working.  Larry  www.coinoplibrary.com
