Question

Antique Lamp Leviton
Hi Rex, I have attached pictures of a lamp I bought at an estate sale. The woman said the lamp belonged to her Great Aunt. I do see the mark Leviton on the bulb socket, the lamp still works but I don't think I would use that old wiring. Could you tell me what the value is and what type of shade was used. As you will see in the picture I used a yard stick to show how tall it is, 28 inches top to bottom. It has beautiful etched glass, the base is scalloped on bottom. Thank you for your time.

Answer
It is probably from the 1930s or early 40s. It looks like cut crystal and probably had a silk shade. Leviton is just the electrical socket manufacturer, not the lamp mfg. That would be hard to determine unless the lamp had a mark. it is probably worth around $100.
