Question
The Alfred E. Smith thimble I have is from his bid for president.  It is not silver, but a silver "color" with the lettering in blue.  It is in good condition, but not excellent.  Is there any value to such an item?

Answer
Hi Kathy.  You have an aluminum political advertising thimble.  It would be cross collectible as there would be interest to thimble collectors and political memorabilia collectors.  Since you did not send a picture, and "good condition" is subjective, I can't give you a value other than a range.  Most political advertising thimbles sell in the range of $8-$15.
