About Irene Schwall
Expertise
I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. Please note: I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing -- I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.

Experience
My expertise is in ANTIQUE sewing or needlework tools & thimbles, gold, silver, brass, ivory, bone etc. Modern thimbles are not necessarily my strong point but I may be able to help so don't hesitate to ask. I am also very well versed in the identification of Hallmarks on sewing collectibles.

Question
Hi Irene,
I received this machine from my mother. We dont know anything about it and were hoping you could help. I am sending pictures too.
The serial number that I find on the machine is V1687357.
I don't beleive the machine plugs in and is only operated by the turn handle.
There is a beautiful wooden box that it comes in with an old skeliton key.
The machine works too. Any information you can provide would be great!
Thanks, Allison

Answer
Hello Allison,
I am sorry that I cannot help you. As I have said so many times before, I am not an expert in domestic or home sewing machines.
When it comes to sewing machines, I can help only with Toy or Miniature collectible machines.  I am an expert is antique sewing tools.
Regards,
Irene
