I have the same scale and its the same color. There's a TV show  they're making the A bomb. The doctor has the same scale same color.

My wife has an identical scale made by Chicago Scale, Mason-Davis.

Originally it belonged to the SAN DIEGO COUNTY HOSPITAL. She acquired it approximately in 1965.

Immediately below the 'Adjusting Cylinder' it is stamped "D5 NO1874".

It would appear it was made in 1874.
