Hi,

I have an Imperial coffee grinder made by Arcade Manufacturing.   The shaft to which the handle attaches, and which is used to adjust the grind, is broken just below the threads at the top.  I have the pieces, but I think it is cast iron so I’m not sure if it can be welded.  Can you give me any hints as to how I can repair/replace it?

hi, cast iron can be welded, but it has to be done by someone who is very experienced with cast iron.  sometimes it depending on how many pieces are involved epoxy can be just as good.  the last option is to glue it together and have the piece recast.
