Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Pewter

Question
Hello Mr. Roberts,
I have acquired about 100 pieces of pewter all of which come from different
makers. Most pieces are dented, scratched up and I'm uncertain of the time
period. If not too bothersome here is a small list of ID stamped on the
bottom and as I have said almost every piece that is stamped is from a
different maker, the collector of this estate seem to relish or intentionally
pick pieces of diversity. The variety of names are- New Amsterdam silver Co.
P349 Pewter / Old English General Pewter/ Crescent Pewter 1583 / Handmade
( with a coat of arms printed above it ) / Marion Pewter 751 / Federal Solid
Pewter / Benedict Pewter 406 / Priscilla Pewter 4503 / Flagg & Homan Pewter
30. This is just the beginning.
My question to you is what is the value or possible interest in these pieces to
a collector. I am not a collector of Pewter and would love to find an appreciated owner for them.
Any response would be appreciated.
Thank you, Angela

Angela,

There is nothing in your list that is anything other than 20th Century decorative - they are are not collector's pieces. However, if you send me a good, high resolution photo of the entire collection, I will be able to pick out anything of greater merit for you - send to stynt@btopenworld.com

In general, anything that actually bears the word "PEWTER" is going to be 20th Century.

Hope that helps.
