Question
I recently purchased what they called a "possum bellied cabinet".  I am wanting to restore this but am unable to find any information on it.  Can you give me any information about this item.

Nice to hear from you.
Sure would be nice to get a picture of this as in my neck of the woods any furniture item that "happens" to have a rounded drawer is called possum belly.
Thought I'd do a quick image search and came up with several different items referred to as possum belly.
So I don't have a clue what your piece is unless you tell me, but I suspect its a Hoosier type cabinet as you refer to it as a kitchen cabinet.
Also need to know what is currently on the cabinet for finish.
Is it painted or clear coated.
