Question

Maker's mark
Greetings,  my husband purchased a pewter cup that was a presentation piece, manufactured by A Milns & Co.  I'm attempting to date it closely as the cup was a wedding present.  It was engraved with "To Harry Spilsbury on the occasion of his wedding".  I'm amid a family of genealogists, all Spilsburys and we are attempting to figure out who Harry was.  The cup is a very nice example and we're hoping that any good information on it may help us to 'find' Harry.  Appreciate any information or ideas you may have.  Please use the photos in any way you feel appropriate.  Many thanks!

Milns were making pewter only between 1920-26, though they had been making electroplated wares before that. The firm closed in 1926, so your piece cannot be later than that.

Thanks for the photo, which shows a previously unrecorded mark of Milns, so I shall have that added to the Pewter Society database.
