Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Thread spools

Question
I have inherited thread spools.  Some of them are from Clark's, Star, Lily, j & P Coats, and of course Coats and Clark's.  Are these of any value or of any use to someone?

Answer
Hello Theresa.  Because spools were made in such great quantities, thread spools, in general, have little value as collectibles.  If you had some unusual thread company labels, they may be of value to an advertising collector.  If you have wooden spools, they may be of value to crafters, but the plastic ones seem to have no value.  You might want to search on a venue such as eBay to see if there are any offerings similar to what you have, to determine value.  Since you inherited the spools, they may have more sentimental value than monetary value.  Hope I've helped.  Barbara
