Question
There is a silver thimble nursery rhyme hey diddle diddle
on e-bay , but I can not find it in my books. Would like to know  about it before I bid any further since the price is rising.

Hello Rita.  Ketcham and McDougall produced thimbles in New York, New York from 1832 to1932.  American Silver Thimbles by Gay Ann Rogers (a great reference book if you plan to collect) shows this thimble on page 63 and dates it to the 1900s.  The price guide that complements the book indicates the thimble is worth $175 ti $300.  Condition is very important in determining the value of a thimble and since I have no picture or ebay auction number for reference, that's about the best I can do for you.  If you are a thimble collector, be sure to check out wwww.thimblecollectors.com.  Hope I've helped expand your knowledge.  Barbara
