Please can you give an approximate date for this plate and whether it has any value more than the couple of pounds it might fetch at a car boot sale ? It is approximately 19 inches long by 14 1/2 inches wide, and has handles cut into both ends. It has been in our attic for a long time.

Hello Matthew,

Your dish or tray was made by Travis Wilson & Co. of Sheffield, England in the late 1920s, 1930s, or perhaps 1940s.

Such pieces are common, and a car boot sale is a good place to sell it, I'm afraid.

Hope that helps.
