Hi please can help me identify the makers mark/stamp on my pewter plate its shows 3 angels and dated 1787

Hello Josie,

We would call these stamps 'touchmarks', and I'm assuming the marks are arrayed in a circle. Marks like this are typical of some German makers. The angel is just about the most widely used device in Continental European maker's marks, so I cannot suggest a possible maker. 1787 is not an unreasonable date for such a piece, but you should note that there are reproductions around bearing fake marks that are very convincing, so the information provided here does not imply an authentication of your plate.
