Question
I have the machine mentioned above. One of the relays is bad. Is there any source of parts? The machine is in very good condition otherwise and I have the parts and operation catalog that I would be willing to share. The model no. is 442. Also I have the schematic and all the game combination cards.

Answer
Hi Keith,
Well we are getting a little deep here but lets see if I can help some. I list this as being made by CCM, Chicago Coin Manufacturing in 1974, a two player game, they made 1,730 units so that is 1,730 possible relays out there! That's a good thing..... Can you get a number off the relay coil, that would help you in finding one. Chances are that CCM used this very same coin in other pinballs and arcade games of the period, so you should be able to find something or something close if you can get the numbers off the relay coil, the numbers tell how many turns of wire there are in the coil etc., etc. I think you would have to do some asking around on line on the web. There is the pinball resource, a very good place to start or just do a search for pinball parts and you will be surprised at how many outfits there are out there. I am sure you can find a coil, or look for any old CCM machine, arcade or otherwise for it, bound to have that same part in it somewhere. Oh, value of your machine is $325.00 so don't pay any more then that for a coil, just kidding, I would think you could get one in the 20.00 range. Check ebay, maybe someone has a parts machine they are trying to sell, and offer to buy just the relay and coil. But, easiest is to check with the pinball dealers, as they all save their old parts for just this reason. Here is the web site to pinball resource:

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
