Question

SLOT2
Hi Larry,
My wife has a penny ( British, large penny) slot machine that we believe to be from around WW2 era. Although they are not functioning, there are lights and these seem to be fused...I cannot find a plug/ cord. It's a 'fruit' machine. We have searched high and low for a manufacturers label but we cannot find it. All there is is a R&W that is embossed on the front medallion. I've enclosed a couple of photos.
Any info you may be able to share with us would be greatly appreciated. This behemoth weighs close to 70lbs. and we've moved several times, dragging this beast around each time.
Thanks again,
Keith

Answer
Hi Keith,  Your machine was made by Ruffler and Walker, based out of London.  They were in business from the 1930's to the 70's. This machine was made during the 1950's when R and W imported a number of machines from German manufacturers.  Value would be around $200.  Larry  www.coinoplibrary.com
