Question

Fine Point
Hello

I found many unused packs of sewing needles in my Grandma's estate when we were cleaning it out. i am wondering about how old they are. Do you know anything about the production dates for Finepoint ATC - Green package or Clinton Complete Needle Assortment? Can you suggest a book or website with the info?

Thanks in advance

Answer
Hello Gayle.  Needlebooks are very common as they were mass produced as give aways.  There are some internet sites on the topic.  The best one is Rosie's Needlebook Museum.  You do not mention if the needlebook is complete inside, so I'm not sure what your particular one would be worth, but items like yours are found on ebay quite often.  You might audit to find items similar to yours to determine it's worth.  Normally needlebooks are inexpensive to collect.  Your item, complete and in excellent condition, would probably sell for around $5-8.  Of course, since it's your Grandmother's, I'm sure it has more value to you than that.  Hope I've helped.  Barbara
