Collectibles-General (Antiques) - antique needles

Expert: Barbara K. Acchino - 10/30/2009

Question
I would like to know the value, if any, of a set of needles I found in my attic.  They are in the original package.  W Crowley & Sons Patent Lion Brand Gold Eye Sharps 8 Made in England.  Inside the package is the date 1893.  There are 16 needles in the package.

Answer
Hello Tina.  I can't tell you much without a picture.  Condition and whether the needlebook is complete has a great deal of bearing on value.  You may want to check ebay for selling prices on similar needlebooks.  There are also a number of needlebook sites on the internet.  Try Rosie's Needlebook Museum to start.  Barbara
