Hi can you tell me about this piece it was from my deceased grandmother.

Hello Susan. First off, I think you sent the wrong picture, as it is a picture of a person and not a chair. Secondly, I don't know a thing about furniture. My area of experise is in thimbles and related sewing tools. I don't think a chair qualifies as a sewing tool. Sorry.
